Should I use Box-Rank or BoxRec?
They do different jobs, and a lot of people use both.
BoxRec is the place for fight records. You go there to see who beat who, a boxer's career, a fight night or the history of each world title based on the championship fights.
Box-Rank is the place for official monthly rankings. You go there for the latest WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and Ring lists in one place. You can compare the same weight class across those lists, look back at older months, and see who has held each belt according to those rankings. Title history sits on each ranking page, under the table.
If you want records, use BoxRec. If you want the monthly ranking lists, use Box-Rank.

When to use Box-Rank
- You want this month's top 15 from the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring without visiting five websites.
- You want to see how a weight class looked in a past month.
- You want to compare how those five lists rank the same division.
- You want to see who moved up or down after a new list came out.
- You want title history on the same page as the rankings.
When to use BoxRec
- You want a boxer's record, opponents, or how a fight ended.
- You want the history of a world title from the fights: who won it, how, and when. That is on BoxRec's champions and titles pages, and on title history pages for each belt, not only on a boxer's own page.
- You are looking up a specific fight night.
- You want more background on a boxer than the ranking lists show.
