What do Super Champion and Interim Champion mean?
Super Champion is mainly a WBA label for a unified titleholder who also holds belts from other organizations. The WBO also uses Super Champion in some divisions. An Interim Champion is named when the reigning champion cannot defend for a period. Interim titles appear on WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO lists. The WBA may also name a World or Regular Champion beneath a Super Champion.
What is a unified or undisputed champion?
A unified champion holds world titles from more than one sanctioning body in the same weight class. An undisputed champion holds all four major titles (WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO) at once.
Where do these champion names come from?
Names are taken from the latest published ranking lists for the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The RING. Box-Rank shows the titleholders those sources named for each division, including vacant slots when a belt has no holder.
