Minimumweight, also known as Strawweight, is the lightest weight class in professional boxing. Established in 1987, it features the smallest fighters in the sport.
Minimumweights are known for their exceptional speed, technical skill, and ability to fight at a very high pace. Fighters in this division typically rely on skill, speed, and volume punching.
The Minimumweight division has produced many exciting fighters and competitive matchups. Despite being the lightest division, fights are often fast-paced and action-packed.
As the newest and lightest division in professional boxing, Minimumweight provides opportunities for smaller fighters who might not be competitive in heavier divisions.

The ranking data is sourced from published ranking documents and pages for the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The RING. We check for new publications monthly and verify each list. All data is taken from publicly available source material published by those organizations and ratings sources.
Most organizations publish monthly rankings within the first two weeks of each month, though timing can vary. Box-Rank checks for new documents every month and aims to have new lists live within 24-48 hours of official publication.
A boxer may be inactive, unrecognized by that organization, or recently moved to a different weight class. The table reflects only the officially published top contenders. Extended inactivity, significant losses, or rule violations can also lead to removal.
Vacant means that organization has not named a champion or holder for that slot in this published list. It is not a ranked boxer. The rest of the contender order still comes from the same official document.
